Today the Talkbank action group have begun to do research about the term 'psychosis' and its use.
The intention of such research being to create a greater understanding of the term, to formulate letter to the 'letter's to editor' section of the Sentinel and to possibly produce an article for broadsheet newspapers such as the Guardian.
Next Week the group has arranged a meeting with an editor from the Sentinel in order to learn more about the media process and to pose questions about mental health in order to create a greater understanding of the subject, and to reduce the stigma and discrimination that surrounds mental ill health.

The work that the talkbank group does is very important. Educating the press and informing the public is essential in helping to reduce the stigma that surrounds mental ill-health. I do hop you have th eopportunity to expand the mediums in which you deliver your message and reach even more people than you currently do.
